Black Muslim history in the US stretches back over four centuries, creating an incredible legacy whose influence is still felt today. Yet how many of us can name more than three influential Black Muslims from the past four centuries?
There are some incredible stories that we can all reflect on and learn from. Through much-needed educational initiatives at our masjids, Muslim Students Associations, community gatherings, and more, we can start to fill in these gaps.
This is more than celebrating history. By spotlighting the incredible achievements of Muslims in the US, and their contributions to fields including Science, Engineering, Business, and Culture, we can also create a supportive network that draws us closer together.
