Our Ramadan Referrals program has been a huge success for the last years, so we’re running it again. Here’s all you need to know on how it works, and how it can help your fundraising with boosts worth up to $100 for each person you get to sign up.

What is the Ramadan Referrals program?

It’s a way to get donors to schedule their giving by asking them to join the Ramadan Challenge. Each time someone signs up to the Ramadan Challenge, for either 30 days or the Last 10 Nights, you’ll earn a boost - worth up to $100. It’s a great way to help you smash your fundraising goals.

How to set up Ramadan Referrals

Earning your Boosts

Now you’re good to go, let’s help you get the most from Ramadan Referrals.

Share your team link

The sooner you get your team link out to your network, the sooner people can sign up. Everyone who signs up before February 18, will earn you the biggest boost:

Minimum donations

You’ll receive a Boost for any donor pledging over $1 daily (or equivalent in their local currency). For Malaysian donors, the minimum donation is 5 Malaysian Ringgit.

Receiving your Boosts

Boosts are pending until all donations are successfully processed. We work fast to ensure you’ll receive them by Eid day, inshAllah. Boosts will be paid in your donor’s currency.

For the first time ever, LaunchGood is extending Ramadan Referrals until March 10th, 2026

Dates and checks

Boosts vary based on the date of donor signup. Each donor is also subject to checks to prevent fraud.

Limitations

There are limitations on the number of referral links per campaign, but not on the total number of campaigns a Campaign Creator can support.

Exclusions

The following people aren’t eligible to earn you a Boost:

● Campaign owners

● Fellow Team members

● Donors who’ve signed using another team link.

How to boost your Boosts

Here are a few ideas to help you win as many Referrals as possible.

The Ramadan Challenge makes it easy for people to support both the causes they love, and a wider range of needs. They’ll give you a much-needed cash boost by automating their donations. If they don’t specify the charities they’d like their donations to go to, we’ll distribute them where the need is greatest.

Urgency

Remind people that if they sign up for Recurring Giving before February 28, you’ll earn the maximum boost.

Reminders

Simple messages (via text, WhatsApp or email) let supporters know that the clock’s ticking and encourage prompt action.

Make it personal

Connect deeply with your audience and remind them that you’re working for a cause that’s close to their heart.

Community

Ensure your messages reflect the collective spirit of charity and compassion that are at the heart of Ramadan.

Impact

Success stories from those you’ve helped can reassure donors, deepen personal connections, and inspire more referrals.

Customize

Adapt your messaging to dierent audience segments. For instance, existing donors won’t need as much encouragement as prospects.

Use all media

Thanks to digital tools, even the smallest charity can compete on a global stage. You’re not limited to supporters in your own country: your appeal can reach Muslims everywhere.

Social media

Social media is a great way to tell people about your cause, share your team link and bring new donors onboard. Tailor your message for each platform (think about the dierence between Tik Tok and WhatsApp, for instance) for the best results.

Email

This is a good way to keep donors updated on your campaign. Keep your messages light and simple, as many are read on mobile devices, and ensure there’s a clear call to action.

Influencers

An endorsement by credible influencers can lend authenticity to your campaign and attract new donors.

Online communities

Forums, shared interest groups and local organizations can be an easy way to extend your campaign’s reach.

Support, every step of the way
